TV celebrity, model and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner tops the list of Instagram influencers payday-wise, collecting more than $1.2 million per post, according to a recent ranking compiled by Hopper HQ, a UK-based planning tool for Instagram.
“Everyone has seen or responded to influencer marketing, whether they know it or not. We thought it would be interesting to explore the inner workings of the marketing channel, celebrate the growth of the industry and inspire those who want to be influencers,” Mike Bandar, co-founder of Hopper HQ, commented for CNBC Make It when last year’s list was released.
The young entrepreneur has made a fortune from her Kylie Cosmetics brand, but this is far from her only source of income. According to the recent estimations, Instagram posts bring Kylie Jenner more money than most people can earn in their lifetime. With an estimated price tag of almost $1.27 million per sponsored post, she secured the number one position on the “Rich List” compiled by Hopper HQ.
In July 2018, Jenner became the youngest person on the Forbes list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women.
It is worth noting that in 2018, Kylie’s cost per post was estimated at $1 million. This price tag does not cover Instagram Stories, which are even more expensive.
“Even in industry standards, getting paid anywhere near $1 million is eye-wateringly high,” Bandar said.
The second place goes to Ariana Grande, who has over 160 million followers and commands an estimated $996,000 per post. Jenner’s sister Kim Kardashian came in fourth with approximately $910,000 per post.
While the pay of top Instagram influencers might seem outrageously high, plenty of brands and advertisers are still willing to pay the price to secure a place in their Instagram feeds.
