Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Makes a Bet on VOSS Water Brand

The Rock has bought shares in water brand VOSS, becoming an investor and advisor.

Dwayne Johnson, one of the highest-paid actors in the world, has signed a deal with Norwegian water brand VOSS. Besides taking an ownership stake, he will also become a strategic advisor to the company.

Dwayne Johnson, who started his career in the 1990s as a professional wrestler with the stage name The Rock, has since branched out into other fields. He is an actor, producer, and shoe and apparel designer. The 47-year-old celebrity has also led countless campaigns with multiple brands.

Johnson, who has 151 million followers on Instagram, said in a post:

“VOSS water has been a staple in my life for over a decade. So much so that after acquiring a stake in the company, I’m excited to announce my new strategic partnership with @VOSSworld, serving as a strategic advisor in their continued brand development of sustainable deliverables and global expansion.”

He continued:

“I’m looking forward to building great things with @VOSSworld. Most importantly, I’m looking forward to delivering new innovations that have meaningful health benefits for you and your families. Thanks everyone and now we build.”

The California-born star later tweeted to his 13 million followers:

“Owning water always intrigued me – partly because I drink 4 gallons a day. But finding the right partner with shared values, ethics and a corporate culture I admire is what motivated me to make this deal. Excited to work with our new @vosswater team! Onward.”

He will be part of a new campaign called “Live Every Drop.”

This is not the first time Johnson has partnered with brands and helped them launch campaigns. One of the most influential celebrities around, he worked with Under Armour for his Project Rock collection of shoes and apparels. He has also worked with Apple and Ford in the past.

Over the last few years, Johnson has become one of the most prominent and bankable celebrities, grabbing the attention of the public as well as companies wanting to strengthen their position in the market.
