Arteezy, a Dota 2 professional who plays for Evil Geniuses (EG), is regarded as one of the best carry players in the pro scene. He has won multiple tournaments and established himself as a force to be reckoned with.
Arteezy, sometimes shortened to RTZ, is part of the EG roster currently competing at The International 2019, a key annual event in Dota 2. The team took on VG in a best-of-three series, with Arteezy destroying the rivals in Game 2 and showing why is he considered one of the best Dota 2 players out there.
Leading the series 1-0, EG went into Game 2 looking strong. Despite the good start, they were struggling to bring the game to an end. With the Chinese team standing their ground, things were looking grim for the Americans as VG apparently clawed their way back into the game.
Thirty minutes in, VG finally managed to get a good fight, picking off a couple of EG players and bringing the clash down to a 1v5 as they surrounded Arteezy’s Lifestealer in their jungle.
With only one way out, Arteezy held firm and took on VG in an incredible 1v5 clutch. The Canadian was seen making quick work of Tusk and Sven with just a few auto attacks while using Rage to lifesteal as VG tried to bring him down.
He moved onto the remaining three players fleeing for their lives, chasing them down one by one, bulldozing through them, and sending them back to their base.
Artour denied VG the chance to stage a comeback as his team ended the series in a 2-0 victory. The triumph helped EG secure a spot in the upper bracket, and they will be looking to chew through the competition and take home the trophy again, as the team did back in 2015. The upper and lower bracket rounds will start on August 20.
