The 39-year-old influencer and star of the American reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians appeared in an eye-catching glittering red dress at the American Influencer Awards that took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on November 18.
Her Chinese-style long-sleeved, high collar outfit decorated with gold beads and glistening floral stitching was created by Dior’s John Galliano in 1997. It was a tight-fit dress with a pleat around her waist and a high slit, which flattered her body curves and showed off her fit legs.
The creator of KKW Beauty brand finished her look with dark hair tightly pulled back in a high ponytail and smoky eyes makeup highlighted by toned down beige lips.
Kim was not nominated for an award; however, she celebrated the triumph of her friend and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, who was behind her most famous and recognizable looks.
“We’ve worked together for 11 years, so 11 years of fights. You guys, we fight like you don’t even understand. We fight like brother and sister. But he’s created some of my most magical memories and really I believe made me who I am today. [He] also really helped with my KKW Beauty Brand. I call him, I FaceTime him at 3 in the morning, testing formulas, showing him shades and he’s always there no matter what. And I love him,” she said as cited by Hollywood reporter
Mario was named as one of the top influencers of 2019. Commenting on the award, he confessed that he had been doubtful about working with Kim. She was just at the beginning of her career, while he was already popular and had no shortage of business offers from large brands. However, he bet on Kim’s uniqueness and never regretted it.
“I stand here for the first time in my life, a proud 37-year-old gay man…I finally feel that bright light that I’ve been dreaming of my whole life is pouring from my soul around my body and it’s mine. I can now live the life that I deserve and right now I feel true happiness,” he said.
