If you want to customize how your Instagram looks, a custom font can do the trick. While there is no native way to change the standard font, several third-party services can make it possible.
Let’s have a look at how to do it using LingoJam, a web-based service for having fun with texts. It has a lot of options like changing your perfect English into a lousy translation, into Yoda speech or to the way Shakespeare would say it – generating fancy fonts for Instagram is one of them.
Technically, the app produces Unicode symbols, which means that they are not real fonts but rather Instagram symbols. This approach allows you to copy and paste them in your bio and even use them in the comments section.
Below is a step-by-step guide that will help you to apply a new fancy font to your Instagram bio.
#1. Open the LingoJam fonts for the Instagram section. This how it looks like:
#2. Erase the example and type the text you want to use in your Instagram bio section. Alternatively, paste in your existing Instagram bio there.
Once you typed your bio in the left box, you’ll see the same text represented in different fonts in the right box.
#3. Scroll down to see all the options and choose the one that you like the most and copy it.
#4. Go to your Instagram account and toggle over to your profile if necessary by clicking the icon in the top-right corner.
#5. Click the Edit Profile button
#6. Paste the text with the fonts you created on LingoJam website
#7. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the screen to apply the changes.
Go to your homepage to check if everything looks right. Enjoy your new fancy Instagram bio!
